Alejandro Avakian

Though still residing in Argentina, Avakian makes frequent trips to Europe and the United States, places where he began to be well-known through exhibits of his paintings in the cities of Barcelona, Nice, Paris and New York. The trips widen his horizon by bringing him into direct contact with the great masters of contemporary art. The contact with their work makes him ponder on the risk that creation implies. Avakian’s task is to face the canvas in a state of sudden fright, following the rhythm of a vital energy that ignores all norms, that does not shy from what has not been done before.
